Marisol Inzunza
Program Officer
The California Wellness Foundation
Marisol Inzunza is a Program Officer for the Leading for Power and Change portfolio at the California Wellness Foundation. She brings more than 17 years’ experience in philanthropy. In her current role, she focuses on supporting organizations that are advancing systemic and progressive change by amplifying the voices and power of people of color and others who have historically been excluded from full participation in civic society. Previously, Marisol led philanthropic efforts for the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, where she managed a portfolio of more than 400 grants, worked with tribal nations throughout the United States, and supported the areas of economic development, arts, culture, and health.
As a proud daughter of Mexican immigrants, Marisol has a personal commitment to social justice. She has chosen to serve marginalized communities because she knows firsthand the struggles low-income communities have with language, achieving equitable education and access to healthcare. Throughout her career, she has been an advocate for Inland Empire nonprofits and Indigenous communities.
Marisol also serves on the Board of the San Bernardino Symphony, where she hopes to make music more accessible to underserved communities. She is a graduate of Cal State Los Angeles and earned a certificate in management and tribal government administration from Claremont Graduate University.
She attained the Certificate in Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) in 2015, and she is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She routinely speaks at conferences about philanthropy and ethics, faith and philanthropy, nonprofit financial management, and fundraising.
