\nSpeaker: Carlos Cazares
\nResident Advocacy Specialist\, Center \;for Nonprofit Management
\nCarlos Cazares is the resident advocacy specialist at CNM with years of experience in grassroots organizing and assessment. Carlos brings a strong background in group facilitation\, community capacity building\, civic engagement programs and strategy\, and leadership development with a racial equity lens. In his 13+ years of leadership and experience\, he has educated and developed leadership skills in more than 800 youth and parents\; built staff and operational capacity for more than five educational institutions through data collection\, grant development\, and professional development\; and has advocated and assessed the implementation of more than $350 million invested in Educational Equity for Los Angeles Youth. Carlos has a Master of Arts in Education \;and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Chicana/o Studies.
