SUMMARY:IE RESOURCE NETWORK MEETING - HIGH DESERT
DESCRIPTION:Featured Presentation:\n\nBuilding a Stronger Relationship with Donors through Marketing\n\n\n\nWith more than 80% of consumers wanting to buy from socially conscious companies\, there has never been a better time to build relationships with local businesses. But once you have established that\, how do you show the business your nonprofit is worth it? Think marketing! Utilize your next event marketing material to promote your local sponsors and to find new ones. Learn all about the best way of promoting local businesses through 21st Century Marketing Tactics.\n\n\n\nPresented by:\n\n\n\nSamantha Walters\n\nWhile getting her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Arizona\, Samantha started working as a Social Media Strategist for a nonprofit organization. This experience led her to create her own Social Media Consulting firm and complete her Master's degree in Social Entrepreneurship and Change from Pepperdine University.\n\n \n\nToday\, Samantha is based in LA where she is involved in branding a LA-based tech company into new markets and forming new strategic partnerships by conducting and analyzing internal and external evaluations. She also spearheaded her company's Corporate Social Responsibility by developing a strategic plan resulting in numerous partnerships between tech companies and Los Angeles based nonprofits. More recently\, these efforts have led to the creation of a STEM Grant which provides funding for innovative STEM programming to young adults around the United States. \n\n \n\nWhen she is not in the office or speaking to nonprofits about corporate partnerships\, she can be found on the driving range teaching kids the art of golf. Besides that\, she promises that her life is boring and welcomes any conversations about life\, business\, and anything in between.\n\n\n\n\n\nMember Spotlight:\n\n\n\nCalling Members: If you would like the opportunity to highlight your organization to the network contact Debbie A.
