Her passion for non-profits and volunteering makes her a perfect fit to work with the United Way.\n\n \n\nCari was elected to the Adelanto City Council in 2008 and elected as Mayor in 2010. Cari's passion for Adelanto is exemplified in the things she accomplished during her terms as City Councilwomen and Mayor.\n\n\n\nCari Thomas has lived in the High Desert for 23 years and has resided in Adelanto for 22 of them. She has been married to Vaughn for 23 years and has 3 boys. She is actively involved with her boys schooling and serves as PAC President at their high school. Cari volunteers much of her time with her church and activities her kids are involved in\, including the Boy Scouts of America.\n\n\n\nGregory Bradbard serves as the President and CEO for Inland Empire United Way (IEUW). LOCATION:Desert/Mountain Educational Service Center 17800 Highway 18 Apple Valley\, CA Directions to Venue: (DO NOT USE GPS) Please note that MapQuest does not give the correct directions to this site ... Interstate 15\, Exit "D Street/Highway 18 East" and travel East. Travel two miles through Victorville and up/down a short hill into Apple Valley. The first traffic light in Apple Valley will be Apple Valley Road. The facility is at the Northwest (left) side of the intersection of Apple Valley Road and Hwy. 18\, behind the gas station\, in the center of the strip mall. Parking is in the lot in front of the building. Please do not park in short-term spots or you will be towed. There are two Highway 18 exits. Make sure you take the one that says "D Street." If you require special accommodations\, such as sign language interpretation\, please note that two (2) weeks notice is required to fulfill your request.
